Is This Thing On?

Ring Ring.
Hello, this is Matthew.

Ooossssss! Matthew what's new?

Not much Sir, just driving to work.

Hey I got the school's web page up and I think I have a good start on it.  Mind checking it out to make sure I'm not doing anything cosmically stupid?

Sure I'll check it out, as long as long as you aren't promising to teach people to levitate I'm sure it will be fine.  Oh, and change things so all your classes start at the same time.  That will make things easier for everyone involved.**

You got it Sir, I'll make the change next week.

Right then, I'll catch you later.  Peace.

Hello World!
Greetings all, my name is Matthew Mercer and welcome to the online home of Mercer Health and Fitness Inc.

Yes it is true, I am starting  another blog.  I have had a few over the years devoted to the various areas of my life.  My real claim to fame is my one hit wonder post from my old and barely breathing gaming blog entitled Ventrilo on a Mac - Setting it up.

Google it, it pops up after two links for ventrilo.com and just before Ventrilo's Wiki.  65,700 hits and climbing.  It seems to still be helping folks out, so I leave it up.

Hey if it works, yeah?

Oh, and for those interested Vik and Fin are fine, they have just been on an extended vacation in Howling Fjord for a while now.

About This Blog
So now the question becomes; what the heck are you going to do with this blog?

I'm so glad you asked!

This blog will be home to my new company Mercer Health and Fitness Inc. and the martial arts school I am opening on Wed. June 15th.  On this site you will find posts about health and fitness as well as announcements and updates aimed at those attending classes at my school.

Did I mention I have a school?
And it's new?
...and I need students?  *cough*

For now please pardon my dust as I continue to get things set up here on the internet and keep a close eye on the schedule page.  I'm working closely with my teacher to set up a martial arts program for adults focused on the health and fitness aspects of Gung Fu.

I hope you will take the time to come and see us.

Thanks for stopping in,
Peace

**Edit: Special note, I DO NOT know how to levitate, seriously it isn't even in the lesson plan.  For evidence of this just ask my personal trainer.  This past Friday I was starting to learn a suspension based workout using my new Lifeline: Jungle Gym XT straps (more on those later) and my first attempt to do a reverse leg curl ended with a solid faceplant into the ground.  That earned me a sore nose and a nice round of laughter from said trainer.  I swear she likes to ambush me with these things.

**Edit #2: If you do wish to learn to levitate I recommend this instructional web site: How to Fly, written by Douglas Adams.  Toss me a wave if you manage to pull it off.  :)
