The Start of a Bio Page

I am starting to work up fliers and other advertisements, and the bio portion has had me in the grip of writer's block for much of the week.  Seems weird given that all I have to do is write down what I have done in the past.

However, it finally spurt forth and naturally the timing was such that I ended up late for work.  Here is the start of my "About" page.

Have a great day all.

About The Instructor:

Mr. Matthew Mercer began his martial arts studies in late 1996 at the Institute of Martial Arts, under the instruction of Sensei Miguel Hierro. Under Mr. Hierro Matthew holds a black belt in Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate, and a black sash in the Chinese self-defense art of Gung Fu. Mr. Mercer also has many years of experience working with the I.M.A. youth programs.

Mr. Miguel Hierro has a rich background in the arts which include rank in three martial arts systems. He holds a black belt (orange sash) under Mr. Joe Solomone in Chinese and Indonesian Self-Defense, a 4th degree black belt under Sensei Glenn Rabago in Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate, and a 4th degree black belt under Sensei Mark Hodsdon in T.A.I. Karate (kenpo.Ju-Jitsu).

In March of 2011 Mr. Hierro closed his doors to the public. Matthew has opened his own studio in order to continue his own education, provide a space for his classmates to study, and hopefully share this rarely taught art form with a new generation.

Mr. Mercer feels honored to have studied these arts, and he continues to enjoy a close personal relationship with his teacher.
